Common questions

I lost my entries. Can you restore them?

We are sorry — we cannot. copipi stores everything on your device and we do not keep a copy on any server, so there is nothing for us to recover from.

To protect yourself from this in future, use Settings → Export to save a backup file somewhere safe.

How do I move my entries to a new phone?

Note that Import replaces everything currently in the app, so export first if the new phone already has entries you want to keep.

The keyboard does not appear.

You need to enable it in your device settings first.

Your phone will warn you that keyboards can collect what you type. Why that appears, and what copipi’s keyboard actually does, are explained in the Privacy Policy.

The cursor gesture does not work in some apps. (Android)

Holding the space bar and dragging moves the cursor. This relies on the app you are typing into reporting the cursor position correctly. Most apps do, but some with custom text fields do not, and in those the gesture will do nothing. This is a limitation of the other app, not something we can fix from our side.

I subscribed on my iPhone. Why is my Android phone still on the free plan?

Subscriptions are managed separately by the App Store and Google Play, and neither store can see purchases made in the other. This is a limitation of the two stores, not a choice we made. See Terms of Use section 3.

How do I cancel copipi Pro?

Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. See Terms of Use section 3 for the full subscription terms.

Can I get a refund?

We are not able to issue refunds directly — please contact Apple Support or Google Play Support. See Terms of Use section 3.

I hit the 20-entry limit.

The free plan holds up to 20 entries. You can either delete some entries or upgrade to copipi Pro for an unlimited number. See Terms of Use section 3.
