Placeholder Support

Some parts of your text change every time. A placeholder lets you fill in only those parts when you copy.
・{{variable}}: add it to your text. When you copy, copipi asks you for a value. Variables with the same name get the same value.
・Date placeholder: adds today's date. You can choose the date format.
To add a placeholder, tap the icon at the bottom right of the text field.
※ {{variable}} does not work in the keyboard extension. Date placeholders do work.

Worth paying for

I've been using this for a while now and it's been wonderfully convenient. I register things like search keywords for listing items on flea market apps and prompts I send to GPT. There's very little back-and-forth between folders on the keyboard — the UI is simple, intuitive, and beautiful. Emoji folder names are no problem once you get used to them, and both launching and typing are fast. Large text actually makes things harder for me to read, so having a setting to change the font size is personally very welcome. Even with no ads, I decided this was worth paying for and bought the annual plan. When I found a bug and reached out, they not only responded quickly but kept me posted on the progress along the way — a genuinely trustworthy developer. I'll be continuing to use it.

FAQ

Is copipi free?

Yes. All features are free, and there are no ads. You can save up to 20 items. copipi Pro removes this limit.

Can I manage message templates and text snippets?

Yes. Save message templates, addresses, social media replies, hashtags, and any text you use again and again. Placeholders let you fill in the parts that change when you copy. A date placeholder adds today's date in the format you choose.

Isn't the built-in keyboard dictionary enough?

With the keyboard dictionary, you have to remember a shortcut for each entry. With copipi, you pick from a list, so there is nothing to remember. copipi also handles text with line breaks, which the keyboard dictionary cannot.

How do I set up the keyboard extension?

Add the copipi keyboard in the Settings app on your iPhone. The steps can differ by iOS version, so please check on your device.

Is my data safe? What about privacy?

Yes. Apple is the only outside service copipi uses, for iCloud sync and for subscription status. copipi sends nothing anywhere else. It collects no data and does not track you. The App Store privacy label says: "Data Not Collected — The developer does not collect any data from this app."

What devices does copipi support?

copipi works on iPhone and iPad. On a Mac with Apple Silicon (M1 or later), you can download it and run it as an iPhone app. Turn on iCloud sync to keep your data the same on all your devices.
Android is not supported.

What languages is copipi available in?

copipi is available in 48 languages. It follows the language set on your device.

Can copipi automatically save my copy history?

iOS does not let apps watch the clipboard in the background, so copipi cannot save your copy history automatically. To save text, add it in copipi or with the Share menu.
